The Acting Center turned 10 today! (or 315,567,360 seconds of art!) What started in a small room above a 7-11 has turned into a phenomenon! The program brings about universally confident and successful actors which shows with their continual bookings. The celebration began with performances by The Acting Center staff directed by Michael Klaumann and was capped off with a blazing after-party.

TAC Advanced improvisers, Brett Candice, Garrett Theon, Noga Sadeh, Kelly McCall, Elliott Bluvband, Veronica Hardy and Eric Zimmerman hit the stage on Sept 30th with some new forms that wowed the audience! . These guys are not messing around. Or maybe the are! They will be starting the first Improv Troup at The Acting Center, so stay tuned for more from the Advanced Class!
Also that night from the Monday/Wednesday Scene Study class, a wonderful scene was performed from “Hard Candy” starring Vanessa Fichter and Michael Klaumann. Guest speakers included Lisa London of London/Stroud Casting who answered questions and dispelled casting myths and Michael Klaumann of Full Swing Media who gave an informative demonstration on how put yourself on tape for a self tape audition.
This Friday marked the graduation of the Improv 101 class. Seasoned improv vets in the audience rated it on par with Second City or UCB performances.
